When making a reservation at Sera Lake Center Hotel – Spa & Restaurant using one of our digital channels such as our website, mobile site or application (“Site”), these booking terms and conditions (“Booking Terms”) will apply, together with our Privacy Policy, Website Terms and Conditions of Use and other written information we will bring to your attention before confirming your reservation.

Please read the Booking Conditions carefully, which set out our respective rights and obligations and explain a few important things.

In these Booking Conditions, the terms “you” and “your” are used to include the first person whose name is given when making a reservation and anyone on whose behalf a reservation is made. The site is located in Dürbinar Mah. Atatürk Bulvarı. No:3 Akçaabat/TRABZON, Turkey (“we”, “us”, “with us”, “our”) and is managed by this company.

When making a reservation, your reservation will be with us. By making a booking, the first person making the booking agrees to the following on behalf of all persons specified in the booking:

The Person has read these Booking Conditions and agrees and is authorized to be bound by them;
It accepts the use of information by us in accordance with our Privacy Policy;
The person has reached the age of 18 years and, where there are regulations for age-restricted services, declares that he/she and all persons accompanying him/her are of the appropriate age to receive these services and accepts financial responsibility for the payment of the reservation on behalf of all persons specified in the reservation.

1. Reservation

Please follow the instructions on the Site when booking a room. You will need to provide your credit or debit card details before your reservation can be processed.

Please check that the details of your reservation are correct before submitting your booking request. If you do not provide correct information, we will not be liable for any delay or failure to process your reservation.

Your booking is confirmed and the binding contract will be valid between us and will be sent to you as soon as the details of your booking are confirmed, together with the valid confirmation number provided when the booking is confirmed. If, on receipt, you believe that any details contained in the confirmation are incorrect or require amendment, you must contact us immediately or it may not be possible to make changes later.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse a booking and refuse to send confirmation.

2. Payment for your reservation

Payment can be made in cash or by credit/debit card at Sera Lake Center Hotel – Spa & Restaurant.

Depending on the type of reservation, you may be asked to pay the full amount of your reservation at the time of booking, in which case the full amount of your reservation may be charged to your credit/debit card at any time between your reservation and your check-in.

We also DO NOT store your credit card information in our systems in any way. Credit cards used are encrypted with special encryption methods and transmitted to the relevant bank / intermediary organization. In this way, all transactions for payment are carried out between the bank / intermediary institution and your computer.

If you do not pay in full at the time of booking, you will have to pay in full upon arrival at the hotel.

If we have not received full payment on time and in full, we have the right to make an assumption that you wish to cancel your reservation. In this case, we have the right not to refund any payments already made and you must pay the cancellation fees indicated to you at the time of booking.

Optional expenses (e.g. mini bar, additional meals, etc.) must be paid directly to the hotel before check-out.

3. Fees

Your booking fee and conditions for payment, changes and cancellations may vary depending on your room, booking type and other factors and you will be notified of these conditions at the time of booking. Please note that all rates are subject to availability.

Our rates are based on a “dynamic pricing” model and are regulated separately depending on booking patterns, and therefore may fluctuate depending on supply and demand. Your booking price will be confirmed at the time of booking and will not be changed in case of price fluctuations between your booked stay and departure dates. You should always check prices at the time of booking.

Additional services (breakfast, half board, full board, etc.) are not included in the price, unless otherwise stated on the site. The tourist tax indicated on the rates page must be paid directly to the hotel, except for online prepayments where this amount may be included.

Prices may also vary depending on the currency you choose for your payment and exchange rate differences. Prices converted into foreign currency are provided for informational purposes and are not binding. The currency confirmed at the time of booking is guaranteed (if this currency is different from the one used at the hotel, possible exchange fees will be the responsibility of the client). If payment is to be made upon arrival or departure and the client’s currency is not the same as the hotel’s currency, the rate quoted by the hotel may differ from the rate quoted at the time of booking due to possible differences between the date of booking and the date of stay at the hotel.

We reserve the right to correct errors in both advertising and confirmed prices. We will do so as soon as we notice the error.

The price of your confirmed reservation will always be subject to correction for governmental errors and changes, such as changes in VAT or other government-mandated changes and changes in the exchange rate, and we reserve the right to reflect these as an increase in the price of your confirmed reservation.

Some promotional offers available on the internet are only sold online, i.e. by distance selling, and are not valid at the hotel reception.

4. Accuracy

We endeavor to ensure the accuracy of all information and prices on our website and in marketing materials; however, changes or errors may occur from time to time and we reserve the right to correct other details and prices in such cases. You should check all other details of your selected reservation and the current rate before making a booking.

5. Changes made by you

If you wish to make any changes to your confirmed booking, you must follow the method outlined in the booking confirmation. We will try to assist you, but we may not always be able to accommodate your request for changes. If any changes are made, you will be responsible for payment of any additional costs incurred. Please also refer to the special conditions notified to you at the time of booking.

6. Cancellations made by you

If you wish to cancel your confirmed booking, you must follow the method outlined in the booking confirmation.

Note that some reservations are non-refundable in case of cancellation after confirmation. If the reason you give for your cancellation is covered by the terms of your insurance policy, you can claim these costs back.

7. Refunds

If you decide to check out before the date you are expected to check out, we are under no obligation to refund the unused portion of your reservation or any other costs you are responsible for covering. Depending on the circumstances, such refunds may be covered by your travel insurance, and we recommend that you submit claims directly to your insurance company.

8. If we cancel your reservation

If you fail to make all payments required for your booking in full and on time or if you breach any material provision of these Booking Conditions, we may cancel your booking at any time with immediate effect by written notice (including by email). We also reserve any legal rights and remedies we have as a result of a breach of contract.

In exceptional circumstances due to ‘Force Majeure’ we may need to cancel your reservation. If such a situation occurs, we will inform you as soon as possible and:

If you have paid for your reservation, we will refund your payment back to you; or
If you have not made a payment for your booking, you will not be asked to pay.
We regret that we cannot cover any costs or losses you may incur as a result of such changes or cancellations.

As used in this clause, ‘Force Majeure’ means any event which, despite exercising all due care, we are unable to foresee or prevent and as a result we are unable to offer you your room. These events may include, but are not limited to, war, the threat of war, terrorist activities causing civil unrest and their consequences or the threat of such activities, riots, intervention by government or other regional or national authorities including port and river authorities, industrial disputes, closure of entrances and exits, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, chemical or biological disasters and adverse effects of weather, sea, ice and river conditions and similar events beyond our control.

9. Insurance

It is strongly recommended that you purchase personal travel insurance for yourself and everyone with you. It is your responsibility to ensure that the coverage you purchase is adequate for your specific needs. Insurance policies are not checked by us.

10. Special requests

If you have any special requests, you must inform us at the time of booking. While we will endeavor to fulfill your reasonable requests in relation to the hotel concerned, we regret to inform you that there is no guarantee that we or the hotel will fulfill such requests unless we have been notified in writing that they will be fulfilled in a special confirmation. The mention of a special request in your confirmation or other document or its communication to the hotel is not a confirmation that your request will be honored. Failure to meet any special request will not be considered a breach of contract by us unless the request is specifically approved. Reservations are not permitted to be made on condition that any special request is met.

11. Guests with Disabilities and Medical Conditions

If you or anyone accompanying you has a medical condition or disability that may affect your stay, please provide us with full details in writing at the time of booking before making your reservation so that we can review the suitability of the room selected. In all cases, you must provide details in writing at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse the booking if the hotel is unable to properly accommodate the special needs of the person concerned, or to cancel the booking if full details were not provided at the time of booking, when we become aware of these details.

12. Complaints

If you wish to make a complaint during your stay, please inform the hotel manager immediately and he/she will take the necessary measures immediately. If your complaint is not resolved or if you wish to escalate your complaint to a higher level, please contact us at info@seralakehotel.com with your reservation number and all other necessary information within 7 days from the end of your stay. In the light of this information, your problem will be determined quickly and the necessary response will be given. If the procedure described in this clause is not followed, it may not be possible for us and the relevant supplier to investigate your complaint, which may affect your rights under this agreement.

13. Behavior

When you make a reservation you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or an accompanying person. Payment for such damage or loss must be made immediately in full to the hotel at the time. Otherwise, you will be liable for all subsequent claims against us (including all legal costs incurred by you and your companions) and the consequences thereof. Hotels reserve the right to terminate your stay or the stay of any accompanying person at any time if they decide, at their discretion, that you have behaved inappropriately. In this case, no refund will be given. Furthermore, neither the hotel nor we will have any obligation to pay any compensation or reimburse your costs or expenses due to the termination of your stay.

14. Our obligations

No liability shall be accepted by us and no compensation shall be payable in respect of injuries, illnesses, loss of life, damages, losses, losses, damages, expenses and other claims of whatever nature in the following circumstances:

Behavior(s) and/or negligence of the affected person(s)
Conduct(s) and/or negligence of third party(ies) unrelated to the provision of accommodation under the Contract and which could not have been foreseen or prevented in advance
Abnormal or unusual circumstances beyond our control that cannot be prevented despite all care and diligence; or
Events that it is not possible for us to foresee or prevent despite all care and attention.
Whatever the reason, the amount of compensation we are liable to make to you is limited in the following circumstances:

loss and/or damage to luggage and/or personal effects and other claims including sickness: the maximum amount we will pay you in respect of these claims cannot exceed the insurance policy amounts applicable to such losses per person in aggregate, as you are deemed to have an appropriate policy to cover such losses.
For claims that do not fall under clause (a) above and do not involve injury or loss of life: the maximum amount payable in respect of such claims shall not exceed twice the amount incurred by or on behalf of the person(s) affected. This maximum amount will only be payable if you do not benefit from a right in connection with your booking.
In order for our liability under this clause to be recognized, you must submit your claims strictly following the complaints procedures described in these conditions.

When any payment is made, the person(s) receiving the payment (or their parent(s) or guardian(s) if they are under 18 years of age) must assign to us or our insurance company their rights against third parties and must, to the extent reasonably required by us or our insurance company, provide such assistance and support as we or our insurance company may require.

based on information provided by you prior to booking, but which we have not yet accepted, we cannot foresee that you will suffer damage as a result of our breach of the contract between us, or
We will not be liable for any losses, damages, costs, expenses or other claims in connection with any trade.
No responsibility will be accepted by us for services or facilities not covered by the contract between you and us. Excursions or other tour programs that you book or pay for during your stay at the hotel are outside the scope of the contract between you and us.

The photographs shown on our website are not binding. Every effort will be made to ensure that the photographs, graphic images and texts used for the promotion of the hotels reflect the accommodation offered as accurately as possible, but differences may arise from these images, especially as a result of changes in furniture and decor or possible renovation work.

Hyperlinks used during booking verification may provide links to websites outside the Site, but we will not be responsible for the content of such websites or the services offered on such websites.

15. Disputes

Guests should first contact the hotel for dispute resolution. Within 60 days, if mutual agreement cannot be reached, guests may contact our headquarters directly by e-mail at info@seralakehotel.com.

16. Changes to Booking Conditions

These Booking Conditions may be amended and/or supplemented by us at any time. In this case, we will immediately publish the new version of the Booking Conditions online and they will automatically become effective for all our customers.

17. Terms of Sale

The estimated total price of the stay includes the room rate, estimated taxes and estimated fees. The estimated total price of the stay does not include any applicable service fees or charges that may be imposed by the hotel. Estimated taxes and estimated charges include applicable local taxes, government fees and resort fees as estimated by the hotel. Actual taxes and charges may vary.

Currency conversions are estimated and are provided for comparison purposes only. The final accommodation amount is payable in the local currency of the hotel.

Guests must show a valid photo ID upon arrival and a credit card for minor expenses.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or cancel a reservation if the guest has engaged in fraud, illegal or other inappropriate acts, or if the reservation contains or results in fraudulent, false or inaccurate elements. Our Privacy Policy applies to all data collected.

18. Our Cancellation Policy

If the consumer requests cancellation less than 3 days before the start of the stay, the consumer declares, accepts and undertakes to pay the first night of the accommodation fee to SERA LAKE CENTER HOTEL SPA & APARTS. In case of the consumer’s request to change the service, provided that this change is approved by SERA LAKE CENTER HOTEL SPA & APARTS, if there is a price difference between the service previously received and the new service requested, the consumer must pay the difference to SERA LAKE CENTER HOTEL SPA & APARTS with the acceptance of the change request. However, if the price of the new service is lower than the previous service price, SERA LAKE CENTER HOTEL SPA & APARTS will refund the difference to the consumer. Provided that the consumer certifies that he or his first-degree relatives have an illness that prevents him or his first-degree relatives from engaging in his usual occupation for 10 days coinciding with the accommodation period, with an official report to be obtained from a full-fledged state hospital or in case of death, the reservation cancellation request is accepted and the amount paid by the consumer is refunded to him, except for the costs arising from compulsory taxes, fees and similar legal obligations and the costs paid to third parties that can be documented and cannot be refunded. In this case, reports and documents shall be submitted before the start of the service. In the event that the consumer does not notify in writing that he / she will participate in the accommodation service that he / she missed the start; SERA LAKE CENTER HOTEL SPA & APARTS has the right to cancel all reservations and services made on behalf of the consumer after 24 hours. In such cancelations, no refund will be made to the consumer.
